November 3, 2026 - General Election

The General Election is held nationally on the first Tuesday following the first Monday in November.  In 2026, Maine voters will select their choice for Governor, Maine’s Representatives to Congress, members of the Maine Legislature, and certain county officers.

The policies that people with developmental disabilities want to see happen need the support of our elected officials – that’s one reason that voting is so important. Decisions get made by those with a seat at the table – we want to make sure that table is filled with people who will work to make policy that works towards a more supportive and inclusive society!
