Compisition of the Council
There shall be twenty-four (24) members on the Council representing the socioeconomic, geographic, disability, racial, ethnic and diversity of the state.
The Council shall comply with the Developmental Disabilities Assistance and Bill of Rights Act 2000, Public Law 106 – 402, Section 125
Citizen Members

Abbott Philson is a self-advocate from Windham, Maine.
Abbott wants to improve how people with developmental disabilities experience healthcare because everyone should have access to specialists without going out of state.
During his free time, Abbott enjoys acting, being active, and doing things like geocaching.
Non-Governmental / Non-Profit Representatives

Monique Stairs is the Executive Director of Speaking Up for Us. SUFU is a non-profit group that promotes advocacy and leadership for adults who have developmental disabilities.
She wants to improve how people with Developmental Disabilities experience community access because it is important for everyone to be a part of their community. During her free time, Mnique enjoys crafting, hiking, camping, and watching her daughter play sports.
State Agency Representatives

Leigh Lardieri lives in Lisbon Falls, Maine and represents the Maine Department of Education.
She wants to improve how people with Developmental Disabilities experience acceptance and employment because people with DD belong in the community and deserve acceptance.
In her free time, Leigh enjoys golf, skiing, her cat, friends and family.
